Dr. Douglas Lee received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. Then, he completed both his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Currently, Dr. Lee serves as the co-chair of the Moderate Sedation Committee. Also, he is the chair of the Digestive Health Initiative at Silver Cross Hospital. His leadership roles reflect his commitment to improving patient care and advancing digestive health practices.
Dr. Lee is board-certified in Gastroenterology. He treats a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. However, he has a special interest in swallowing disorders, stomach infections and diseases, pancreatic and liver diseases, GERD (acid reflux), and inflammatory bowel disease.
In addition, he focuses on liver biopsy, gastritis, lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and gallstones. Dr. Lee combines deep clinical knowledge with compassionate care. As a result, this helps patients manage and overcome complex digestive issues.
