Dr. Chad Spangler believes in open and honest communication with his patients. He treats them as partners in their care, working together to improve their health and well-being.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After that, he completed his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. During his time there, he was named Chief Resident, showing strong leadership and dedication. He then joined the Gastroenterology Fellowship at Rush, followed by an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.
Dr. Spangler has practiced gastroenterology for over 10 years. He focuses on treating complex digestive conditions, especially pancreatic and bile duct disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and Barrett’s Esophagus. He also has expertise in colorectal cancer screening and polyp removal (polypectomy).
Currently, Dr. Spangler is a member of the Credentials Committee at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, where he helps maintain high clinical standards and ensure quality patient care.
