Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital has been proudly serving the Downers Grove, Illinois, community since 1976. At the time, it was started to meet the growing healthcare needs of people in DuPage County. Since then, it has grown into a nationally recognized leader in healthcare. Today, it has 333 beds and 1,000+ doctors in 60+ specialties. In fact, it is the only hospital in Illinois to receive the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Advocate Christ Medical Center is in Oak Lawn, Illinois. It has cared for the southwest Chicago suburbs since 1960. The hospital began as Christ Hospital and joined Advocate Health Care in 2001. Since then, it has grown into a trusted place for advanced medical care in the Midwest. Today, it has 788 beds and more than 1,500 doctors. Each year, it handles over 40,000 patient stays. Also, it is home to one of Illinois’s busiest Level I trauma centers. Patients benefit from well-known programs in heart care, transplants, colon cancer, and brain care.
