Dr. Anshuman Chawla earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After that, he completed his residency and fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. There, he trained in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
He performs a wide range of endoscopic procedures with precision and confidence. These include colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He also carries out liver biopsies, places gastrostomy tubes, and treats internal hemorrhoids using infrared coagulation (IRC).
Dr. Chawla holds board certification in Gastroenterology. This, as a result, shows his strong knowledge and commitment to high standards of care.
Currently, he is the Medical Director at the Midwest Center for Day Surgery. Additionally, he leads the GI Lab at Good Samaritan Hospital. In both roles, he works to improve patient care and ensure safe and efficient procedures.
