My care philosophy is that all patients deserve to feel heard and have an advocate in navigating our complex medical ecosystem. I strive to understand where people are on their healthcare journey and to offer approachable, tailored advice that helps meet their health and wellness goals. Gastrointestinal issues are not always easy to discuss, but spending the time to gain patient confidence through open communication is a priority during every encounter.
Clinical interests include GERD/Barrett’s esophagus, improving quality in colon cancer screening, fatty liver disease and weight management, and inflammatory bowel disease.
I am a board-certified gastroenterologist working for GI Partners of Illinois and have been practicing independently since 2019. I graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and completed post-graduate residency and fellowship at the University of Chicago. During academic training my research focused on Barrett’s esophagus, improving quality in colon cancer screening programs, and advanced polyp resection. I have additional clinical interests that include metabolic liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. I am passionate about patient care and take pride in candid communication, treating every patient with dignity as they navigate through difficult health challenges. Outside of work I enjoy distance running and savoring each fleeting moment with my wife and two sons.
